Green Side Up’s lawn care program consists
of 6 visits to your property to apply fertilizer
and weed controls. While we are there we will
diagnosis for any disease or insect activity
and any other perils that may affect your lawn.
Green Side Up will provide complete instructions
and details of all products applied to your
lawn along with safety measures. Green Side
Up will also give you a newsletter detailing
anything Green Side Up feels you should know
pertaining to the season. Below is a detailed
description of our program:
First
Application: (late winter to early
spring) – This application is
designed to control crabgrass breakthrough
as well as provide fertilizer and the nutrients
needed at this time of year.
(This application maybe granular or liquid)
*To properly control crabgrass all seeding
should be done in the fall*
Second
Application: (early to mid spring)
– This application is designed to eliminate
any weed population present as well as provide
the proper fertilization and nutrients necessary
at this time of year. State regulations allow
us to completely treat a lawn for weeds only
one time in the spring. Therefore, it is crucial
for all weeds to surface so they can be effectively
eliminated.
(This application is normally all liquid)
Third
Application: (late spring to early
summer) – This application is
designed to spot control any post emergent
of weeds and provide fertilization and nutrients
necessary at this time of year. It is extremely
important for you the home owner to be on
the look out for any discoloration or area
of concern with your lawn as we are entering
into disease and insect season.
(This application can be granular or liquid)

Forth
Application: (mid to late summer)
– This application is designed to spot
control any post emergent of weeds and provide
fertilization and nutrients necessary at this
time of year. Additional nutrients will be
added to this application to limit the affects
of heat stress on your lawn.
(This application is liquid)
Fifth
Application: (late summer to early
fall) - It is extremely important that
lawns be aerated and seeded at this time of
year. You will get full written correspondence
of our recommendations as we approach this
season.
For
those who choose to Aerate & Seed
– we will apply a granular fertilizer
to assist seed in germination while providing
nutrients necessary for the existing lawn.
Any weed population will be sprayed at the
time of service.
For
those who do not Aerate & Seed
– you will receive a liquid fertilizer
appropriate for the season as well as the
liquid weed controls necessary.
Sixth Application:
(mid to late fall)
– This application is designed to give
your lawn the nutrients necessary to sustain
it thru the winter months. No weed control
due to the time of year.
